Helping Families Overcome Financial Obstacles to Proper Healthcare and Housing

“We envision a future where no family or individual has to worry if they will be able to afford proper medical care and housing to heal in, just because they are not wealthy.”

Why did we start The Courtney Lynn Foundation?

Imagine losing everything you own, such as in a fire. Except you not only lose your material possessions but also your health and home at the same time. Now imagine not being able to find a home to heal in because you’ve suddenly developed sensitivities to indoor buildings that have caused you to become both very sick and homeless at the same time. This is the devastating reality for many people today.

Due to the rising toxicities in our modern day world, there are a growing number of severe health conditions that are now reaching epidemic proportions in the United States. These illnesses are not only physically disabling but also financially devastating. They often leave patients homeless, extremely ill and unable to work. I own a Naturopathic medical clinic in Palm Desert, CA where we have treated thousands of these patients. Most of them are suffering from conditions known as Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (CIRS) and Multiple Chemical Sensitivities (MCS), which are often the result of unknowingly being exposed to toxic mold in their home or workplace. This is not an allergy, rather an auto immune-like condition that can cause patients to be suffering with anywhere from 20-30 debilitating symptoms at a time. They often become so hyper sensitized to mold and chemical toxins, that are present in most all indoor environments, that they are no longer able to live in conventionally built housing. Unfortunately, homes in the US are built to be moldy (common building materials like drywall and wood, when combined with water, are the perfect environment to grow mold) and in certain locations of the country the prevalence of indoor mold growth can be as high as 85%. Most people don’t realize the amount of mold there is in most indoor environments until they become sick with something like this and are no longer able to tolerate it even in small amounts. Toxic mold is able to produce quickly even from minute damage such as a crawl space pooling water, a tear in a moisture vapor, a leaking pipe or shower, or condensation from humidity and moisture.

For those that do not have the financial means to build specialized housing, the result is devastating. They are often left homeless, living in cars, at campgrounds, and in tents. Sadly, many resort to suicide due to the hopelessness of their situation. We have seen entire families including men, women and children going through this. It is heartbreaking to watch them continue to suffer, when if they only had proper housing to heal in they would be able to begin recovering. Thankfully there is a path to healing for those living with these devastating conditions. It requires both proper housing and medical treatment; however medical treatment alone many times is not enough. We are dedicated to raising the funds necessary so these men, women, and children can go onto heal and lead happy, productive lives. Our plan to make this happen is to build specialized homes and trailers/campers, which are made to be free from the contaminants that people with these ailments react to. We will also provide safe transportation for people who have severe reactivity to contaminants and chemicals present in the fabric and plastics in most vehicles. This could greatly help the lives of many individuals suffering with these conditions to completely recover. It is enough that a lot of these ill people are going through severe physical hardship; the last thing they should have to worry about, is where they are going to lay their head down at night.

There are currently no non-profit organizations available for those that are struggling with these devastating health conditions. We are the first and only 501(c)(3) non-profit, which has been set up to help those experiencing homelessness and illness due to CIRS and MCS. We are sincerely asking that you join us in our efforts to help spread the word and raise funds so we can purchase safe housing, transportation and medical care for as many people as possible that are living with these debilitating conditions. We also encourage that you personally donate as your contribution can serve as a tax write off toward the end of the year. We specialize in Tele-functional medicine for the most complicated chronic conditions and have patients through all 50 states as well as multiple countries. Our way of giving back to those who donate will be to offer free treatments/health assessments if you are in need of medical treatment, or to someone you know that is. Your contribution will go to help Courtney Lynn and others like her. Please read her and others stories on the “Patient stories” tab. Thank you for your time and consideration. If you have any questions please feel free to call us.

Matthew 25:35-40

“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ 37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ 40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”
